Scanner can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store and Google Play Store. iPhone users can complete inventory counts even if they don’t have an account with Vend. However, Android users must sign into a Vend account to use this feature.

If you have an iPhone, you can still import your counts into many business tools via a CSV file, or just use Excel to ready your spreadsheets.

Yes - but you will need to sign in to an active Vend account to use the app.

When searching for Scanner by Vend on an iPad, adjust your search criteria in the App Store to ‘iPhone only’ to display the Scanner app. Then, simply download the app directly to your iPad.

No, once connected with Vend, Scanner will sync your counts and stock levels with your back office. If you still wish to use Scanner for stock orders, transfers and returns, you will need to do this as a guest user (iPhone only) and share your CSV.

Every completed count in Scanner will get submitted to Vend Web Register for approval by the account admin, before any stock levels are synced.

The Scanner app can be used to quickly retrieve information about products. Just sign into your Vend store on Scanner by Vend. Tap the barcode icon in the top right to scan the product barcode, or search for the product in the search bar. Tap the product name to view the product inventory at each outlet, supply price and retail price, and description, tags, and supplier name.

iPhone users can use Scanner as a guest (not signed in to your Vend account). This way you’ll be able to create and add new products and then export this information as CSV files. These CSV files can then be used to create purchase orders, transfers, and returns in Vend.
